Preventive Care What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is the branch of the
healing arts that deals with
structure and function.
Chiropractors have found that if
there is pressure along the spine,
irritating and interfering with a
nerve, it will cause pain
(function). It is highly probable
that this will affect muscles,
joints, blood vessels, and even
organs and glands (structure).
It is the chiropractor’s job to
determine if such a problem exists
and if it can be relieved. Advanced
technology and extensive diagnostic
training assure the chiropractic
physician and you that findings are
valid and prognoses are reliable.
Below is a partial list of
conditions that may readily respond
to chiropractic care:
Why Chiropractic Preventive Care?
Research has shown that back and
neck injuries cause more work
absences than the common cold. About
80% of adults will experience a back
or neck injury in their lifetime,
and 10% will suffer recurring
injuries. The spine is the central
contact point for all the nerves in
the body, and back or neck injuries
can cause much pain and suffering in
other areas of the body. With the
preventive care plans provided by
American Health Centers, back pain
and recurring problems may be
reduced.
Chiropractic Care Is Not Just
Alternative Care – It Is Also
Preventive Care
You do not need to be suffering from
pain in order to seek care from a
chiropractic physician. With
education, spinal manipulations and
muscle strengthening, we should be
able to better prepare your body to
ensure that you don’t incur back and
neck pain.
Thank you for joining the American
Health Centers family. We greatly
appreciate your confidence in us,
and we will continue to take
preventive family health care
seriously.
